The friction created by the nylon insert against the bolt threads prevents the nut from loosening and creates a tight seal. There are two varieties of Nyloc Nuts: P Type and T Type. T Type Nyloc Nuts are thinner than P Type Nyloc Nuts. These Fine Pitch T Type Nylock Nuts are made from Grade 10 High Tensile Steel, and coated in a Bright Zinc Plating which provides a level of corrosion and oxidation resistance.
